WOMEN IN POST-FRAME
T
he Women in Post-Frame Meet N’ Greet 
brought together professionals from across 
the post-frame industry for an evening of 
connection, inspiration, and community during the 
NFBA Expo in Oklahoma City. Held at the exclusive 
Petroleum Club, the event offered attendees a 
welcoming atmosphere inside one of the city’s most 
historic and elegant private venues.
The evening was emceed by “Mrs. Post-Frame,” 
Emily Marshall, who opened the program with a 
warm welcome and an overview of the evening’s 
activities. Marshall encouraged attendees to continue 
supporting and uplifting one another while fostering 
an industry culture where everyone feels seen, 
valued, and supported. Her message set the tone 
for an event focused on building relationships and 
celebrating the growing community of women making 
an impact in the post-frame industry.
One of the evening’s most memorable activities 
was the Spaghetti Structure Challenge, a creative 
team-building competition that had attendees 
working together under pressure. Participants were 
randomly divided into groups and challenged to build 
a free-standing structure in just 15 minutes using 
only 20 sticks of dry spaghetti, 10 marshmallows, 
one yard of masking tape, one yard of string, and 
a pair of scissors. The structures were judged on 
both creativity and design by Emily Marshall and 
NFBA Past President Robyn Ommen, with one team 
ultimately taking home bragging rights for the most 
impressive creation.
The event also featured inspiring personal stories 
from guest speakers Randy Chaffee, author of 
Asphalt and Algorithms: A Road Warrior’s Playbook 
for Winning Results in the Hybrid Sales Arena, and 
Linda Young-Vap of Vap Construction Inc. Both 
speakers shared heartfelt reflections on overcoming 
challenges, achieving success, and navigating 
personal and professional journeys within the 
industry.
Attendees also left with swag bags filled with 
contributions from generous industry partners and 
businesses. These gifts added a special touch to 
the evening and highlighted the many organizations 
committed to supporting women in post-frame 
construction. 
The Women in Post-Frame Meet N’ Greet served 
as more than just a networking event—it was a 
celebration of collaboration, encouragement, and the 
continued growth of women’s leadership within the 
post-frame industry.
