b'President\'s Message Raising the Roof Randy R. Adams, MRCA President In at MRCA! Have you seen it? Can you feel it? Did you see the list of MRCAcholarship recipients in the think there is something going o Foundation SOctoberThirty-five men and women received money for their college curriculum! MRCA is investing in yo1mg men and women, and Midwest Roofer? particularly those who have expressed an interest in construction and the roofing industry. And speaking of investments, have you seen the activity occurring in our Young Contractors Council (YCC)? Engaging the future leadership of our industry by providing specific programming directed at leadership and management training through a mentoring program centered within a principled character represents the core of the goal we are striving for. Our industry provides a tremendous opportunity for success, and we are building the foundation of success within the principles of the YCC. Did you notice that MRCA created an Advisory Council this year? Contractors today are looking for more than "their father\'s Oldsmobile." Our goal is to collaborate with our industry stakeholders and provide an experience for our members that they will not receive anywhere else. Our conference is bigger, better, and more personal than ever! We are driving connections for our members by engaging all aspects of our industry: manufacturers, media, technology, consultants, owners, and users of construction services. We are intending to transform the experience members have by affiliating themselves with MRCA. We have accomplished a great amount in 2012, and we are looking forward to continuing the transformative change in 2013 and beyond. I have been honored to be the MRCAresident throughout 2012. I owe our officers, consultants, staff, Advisory Council members, and our board of pdirectors tremendous thanks for their involvement and commitment to the ongoing improvement of our industry: They are dedicated touilding and bimproving the MRCA.
