presidents message MICA MESSENGER 7 H appy spring to you all! The days and weeks certainly seem to fly by—it’s hard to believe we’re already well into 2026. I hope the new year has started off strong for everyone and that project activity and sales forecasts are trending in a positive direction. Speaking of days going by fast, I started writing this letter from my hotel room at the Wyndam Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place in Jupiter FL, just getting ready to start our winter board and committee meetings. The warm weather was certainly a welcome change of pace, though I’ll admit I felt a little guilty knowing what many of you were dealing with back home. Watching the weather, there were parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin expected to see wind chills dipping into the negative 30s and 40s and some to the negative 50s over the days. Turns out the weather system made quite an impact on those traveling for our meeting as well, with many flight and travel changes made to get members back home. The winter meetings are an important opportunity for our board and committee members to come together, finalize planning, and continue moving MICA forward. Our members in attendance had productive discussions and worked through business that needed to be completed. We also spent some time gearing up for our Annual Convention in June. I want to thank everyone who has committed their time and energy to serving on the board and committees—your involvement is critical to the strength of our association and our industry. Looking ahead, I’m already excited for our next in-person gathering in June 2026 at the Everline Resort and Spa in Olympic Valley, California. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Tahoe, Everline is a first-class venue and an outstanding setting for collaboration, networking, and enjoying time together. Photos of the area do not do it justice, and I hope you’ll make plans now to join us in a truly memorable location. Register Today! We are certainly looking forward to seeing you at Lake Tahoe. Thank you all for your commitment to MICA and our industry and what we can accomplish together.
