b"THE OFFICIAL NFBA MAGAZINEA MESSAGE FROMROBYN OMMENPRESIDENT, NFBA BOARD OF DIRECTORSI am extremely excited to serve as YOUR NFBA President for the next two years. It is both an honor and a privilege as I have been on the NFBA BoardPRESIDENT'S MESSAGEand Executive Committee since 2015 and have seen the amazing work the board and association team have been able to accomplish. They are continually working to expand the Associations membership benefits through education and resources focusing on growing and improving the post-frame industry.Thank you to everyone who attended the 55th Annual NFBA Conference & Expo and I hope you and your families enjoyed your time in Louisville, KY. We had an excellent Expo with a record number of exhibitors and new attendees! Inside this Issue you will find 3 action-packed days worth of photo highlights. From the outstanding educational sessions and the afterhours social events to the Expo Floor, something new was around every corner. A special thank you to Keynote Speaker, Betsy Allen-Manning for kicking off the first day of Expo by sharing her secrets to leading a life with more purpose and impact. Her motivational speech had the audience on their feet, and I especially loved seeing the awesome dance moves of fellow board members, Randy Chaffee and Angie Cragel. Thank you to Kyle Stumpenhorst with RR Building and his crew for working so hard to help promote NFBA and the Expo and for conducting an educational hands-on demonstration for all the attendees on the Expo Floor. I would also like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Post-Frame, the Barndominium Lady herself, Stacy Lynn, and Heidi Ellsworth with Metal Coffee Shop for being so engaging with the attendees and exhibitors and for highlighting how amazing the post-frame industry really is.Inside this Issue, you will also find the 2022 Building of the Year (BOY) Award Winners, the Excellence in Safety Award Winners, the 2022 Crew Foreman of the Year, and the 2022 Bernon G. Perkins Award Winner. I want to commend the companies that participated this year. So much goes into these award submissions and these winners are truly deserving of the recognition for all of their hard work.Lastly, I have to thank outgoing President, Mark Billstrom, for overseeing the Association for the last two years as well as our Builder Members, Exhibitors, Sponsors, and Post-Frame Advantage Donors. You are the driving force that allows the Association to continue to provide our members with quality education and a full expo where they can learn about the latest technology and products to advance their operations, and in turn, the industry. Mark your calendars to join us next year, March 6-8, 2024, in Des Moines, IA. Our Annual Expo may be over, but the excitement continues as NFBAs social channels grow and new members join us every day. If you havent already, check out NFBA on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. And remember, the NFBA Website, www.nfba.org, is there to keep you informed of all the great work this association is doing for our members and the post-frame industry. Im looking forward to the next two years and all we can do together.6 / FRAME BUILDER - MAR2023"
