b'Member SpotlightJOE REID AND JIM COPPERSMITH OF RIECK SERVICES OBTAINTHEIR STAR SERVICE STATUSJoe Reid and Jim Coppersmith completed four years ofapprenticeship training along with three years of UpgradeTraining which qualified them to successfully completethe STAR HVACR Mastery Certification Exam. This exam is administered by the National InspectionTesting Certification Institute (NITC). NITC is a nationallyrecognized, third party provider of certification services to the mechanical industry. The STAR HVACR Mastery Certification quantifies thatthose individuals hold the skills and experience inoperations, planning, blueprint reading, safety, and thepractical installation, repair, and service of HVACRsystems. Doug Mayse of Rieck Services Presented With Lifetime Service AwardDoug Mayse received the SMART Local No. 24 Joint Apprenticeship Lifetime Service Award at the programs September 26th ApprenticeGraduation Ceremony.Doug was recognized for his commitment to guiding young people in their career development as well as his on-going support of not only the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program, but the Public Vocational School System.Doug started as an Apprentice in 1984 working his way up to Journeyman and eventually became President of Rieck Services. Under Dougs guidance, Rieck Mechanical Services has employed School To Work High School Students with a very high percentage of students ending up with careers in Mechanical Contracting .Doug has volunteered both time and resources to the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program and is currently serving as a Program Trustee.Congratulations to Doug and a big thank you for all of his work giving back to the industry.
