Many of attendedconvention, met many these people became longtime friends and acquaintances whom Ito get advice or to discuss roofing issues. This is one of the most(ifthe could callnot most) important aspects of belonging to an association such as MRCA Membership allows you the ability to network with others to seek advice, discuss issues or problems that you might be encountering, or justawith aear to listen to you. havefriendsympathetic Aswe enter 2013, Igoals for the board to fine-tune our association. Iffollow what MRCA has done the last few years, you might notice have setyouse that the association has changed quite aDuring the last few years, we have created aContractors' Council for the youth of this organizabit.Young tion and employed amanagement team to guide us. In addition, we began arelationship between the roofing contractors, professionalcooperative manufacturers, suppliers, and other service suppliers to the roofing field with the creation of an advisory council. We have alsoded an associate extenmembership categorytoothers who wish to join our association. All of these changes have taken place without the loss of our identity and the original goals of the MRCA One area of roofing that MRCA has not avoided but has not promoted to its potential is the steep-sloped roofing side of our trade. This year, hope we to change this by promoting the many benefits that lvlRCA can offer contractors that install this type of roofing. With OSHA targeting the steep-sloped roofing industry, there is more reason than ever to join MRCA. All of the knowledge needed to cope with this enhanced field of enforcement is available through MRCA. With all of these changes in place, it is time to fine-tune these goals and reap the benefits of expansion and promotion of bothand our MRCA. industry. Ifhave not attended an Annual Conference during the last few years, you might be amazed bylevel ofandwealth of knowledge youtheexpertisethe offered at this event. The MRCA is changing. Don't be left out by not becoming a member, continuing y membership, or taking advantage of the our many opportunities your membership offers. Mark your calendars for the 64th annual MRCA.
