T
he CSIA Spring Labor Conference
brought industry professionals
together in the heart of downtown
Nashville for two days of education,
collaboration, and networking focused on
today’s evolving labor landscape. Hosted
at Dream Nashville, by Hyatt, attendees
experienced a venue unlike the traditional hotel
conference setting. Once home to the historic
Utopia Hotel and Climax Saloon, the restored
landmark offered a boutique atmosphere
blending Tennessee heritage with modern
sophistication. From its art deco-inspired design
to chef-driven dining, the property provided
a unique backdrop that perfectly reflected
Nashville’s creative energy.
The conference atmosphere was carried
out through every aspect of the event, with
attendees enjoying exceptional food, a
distinctive meeting space, and a refreshing
departure from the standard ballroom
experience. Networking opportunities included
a lively reception at neighboring dive bar Snitch,
followed by a memorable group dinner at ZuZu.
ZuZu delivered an immersive dining experience
featuring Asian-inspired fusion cuisine and
a vibrant nightlife atmosphere that kept the
Nashville theme alive throughout the event.
Educational sessions focused heavily on
communication, workforce strategy, and
contractor business growth. Andrew Burcham
and Chris Alford of Neutral Resolution Group led
several sessions centered on labor-management
relations, including Union/Management
Communication, Crisis Negotiation & Conflict
Stabilization, and Organizational Change &
Workforce Strategy. Topics included effective
joint communication, conflict resolution during
