The goal of this showcase was to highlight the creativity, artistry, and craftsmanship of contractor projects representing mechanical and industrial insulation systems.Winners 2nd Place Winners (Tied)1st Place Winner Gribbins Insulation & ScaffoldingJT THORPE New Distillery Duct Replacement at a Power PlantThis project focused on the installation of This project involves the renovation of an existingmechanical insulation for a new distillery piping data center in Birmingham, Alabama, focusingsystem. The project features an outdoor piping on upgrading the cooling and emergency powersystem, including heat-traced cooling tower water systems. The upgrades include the replacementand chilled water lines ranging from 6 inches to of 8 chillers, 8 cooling towers, 24 pumps, 1020 inches in diameter. The team installed 2 thick emergency generators, and several computerfiber glass pipe covering with aluminum jacketing room air conditioning (CRAC) units. Theseto ensure durability, energy efficiency, and enhancements aim to improve the efficiency andweather protection. All work shown in the photos reliability of the data centers infrastructure,was completed using articulating boom lifts to ensuring optimal performance and minimizingsafely access elevated areas and ensure precision downtime. The project also includes thein every detail. The project highlights the teams implementation of advanced monitoring andexpertise in executing high-quality insulation Dedicated to keeping its members at the forefront in their industrycontrol systems to provide real-time data onwork under challenging outdoor conditions while the performance of the new equipment.
