recently 
completed a process 
piping insulation and 
jacketing project at a 
manufacturing facility in 
Southern Indiana. The 
scope included installing 
fiberglass pipe covering 
with field-finished PVC 
jacketing on chilled water 
process piping.
The project presented 
unique challenges due 
to the piping’s location 
in a high-traffic area 
used daily by on-site 
personnel. In addition 
to meeting demanding 
performance requirements, 
the installation needed to 
maintain an exceptionally 
clean and professional 
appearance.
The chilled water piping 
operates under extreme 
temperature differentials, 
creating a significant 
and continuous risk of 
condensation. Proper 
insulation installation 
was critical to controlling 
moisture and protecting 
the surrounding 
environment. Gribbins’ 
skilled team successfully 
addressed these challenges 
while delivering a clean, 
high-end finish throughout 
the installation.
The project also 
demonstrated the value 
of specialized training 
and experienced field 
personnel. By utilizing 
highly trained installers, 
Gribbins was able to 
maintain an aggressive 
schedule while controlling 
material waste, minimizing 
rework, and maximizing 
daily productivity.
The result was a high-
quality installation that 
met both the functional 
demands of the facility 
and the client’s exacting 
aesthetic expectations, 
providing long-term 
performance with a 
flawless professional finish.
