b"THE OFFICIAL NFBA MAGAZINEA MESSAGE FROMJOE SHIMPNFBA PRESIDENTLets Go!!!!!PRESIDENT'S MESSAGELooking ahead to warmer weather and prime time for construction. As an industry that has grown from the simple agricultural type of pole barns to elaborate post frame buildings, providing solutions for many types of clients and needs, the exciting thing for me is to think about what could be next! The NFBA has continuously been involved in this industry and through many different stages and markets.Weve taken the time to understand what challenges our members have, worked to find, or collaborated on solutions, and in some instances directly tackled the changes needed. The post frame industry and its talented craftsmen can continue to grow and expand its offerings to the market, providing great quality, extensive value, and a level of professionalism that clients demand. We are all aware of the challenges associated with labor and staffing of construction and trades. Not only does it affect our members businesses directly, but it also changes how we do business with other contractors, suppliers, and professionals. It disrupts scheduling, planning, and overall client experiences. While NFBA doesnt have a direct answer or solution to the declining workforce, we can bolster our members efforts by providing tools in the belt! This includes Post Frame Curriculum, Educational Sessions at Expo, Frame Builder Magazine, Design Publications, and Webinars. If youre not sure how to access these tools or any of your other member benefits, a great place to start is at the official NFBA website: NFBA.orgLastly, I want all our members to know that we are not slowing down, but just getting started. We have many exciting initiatives amongst our board and staff, and we are always more than willing to hear any suggestions you might have!If you havent already done so, take a moment to reach out to a board member, staff, or the other associates working on behalf of the NFBA and share with us!See you ALL next month at the NFBA Conference & Expo, February 25-27 in OKC!Joe ShimpNFBA PresidentConestoga Buildings6 / FRAME BUILDER - VOL6 6"
