The nation’s first Licensed Chiropractic Assistant (LCA) Program has launched! The ANJC initiated and relentlessly pursued the LCA legislation in New Jersey, and its significance will be tremendous in helping members grow their practices and improve services to patients. ANJC Board President Dr. Steven G. Clarke stated, “The ANJC continues to lead the way with the first ever licensing of chiropractic assistants. The LCA will be invaluable in assisting New Jersey chiropractors with the great care they provide each and every day.” The program will be administered through New York Chiropractic College’s Postgraduate and Continuing Education Department and will be taught by NYCC faculty. Through hands-on classroom and online instruction, students will gain extensive clinical knowledge to provide the highest level of care to their practices’ patients. “The LCA training program, and the professionals who complete the program, will make a very positive and lasting impact on the chiropractic profession in New Jersey,” said Dr. Michael Mestan, president of NYCC, which is serving as the ANJC’s educa- tion partner for the program. “Pioneering the nation’s first licensure in this area is thrilling. We are proud to partner with NYCC to provide top-notch training to our upcoming licensed chiropractic assistants. These LCAs are the first generation of many to come who will greatly impact the health of our New Jersey patients,” said Amy Boright Porchetta, Executive Director of the ANJC.
